According to a source, two firearm licenses (for rifles) issued in the name of Governor Veniamin Kondratyev were found at the estate of Kuban Vice Governor Andrey Korobka, valued at 1 billion rubles.
It appears these may have been expensive gifts to the head of the region. Earlier, Krasnodar Mayor Andrey Alekseenko was arrested for accepting a bribe in the form of a rifle worth 1.5 million rubles.
This is далеко not the first such incident involving people close to Governor Kondratyev. Our project has previously reported on and even documented several of these cases.
For example, media outlets were the first to report the detention of Kondratyev’s niece, Oksana Shadrina, who was later sentenced to 3.6 years in prison. Subsequently, her lawyer Roman Korsuvorov was also detained and convicted. Judge Getmanenko allegedly intended to issue an acquittal for Shadrina in exchange for a 30 million ruble bribe but reconsidered after a video surfaced showing him dividing the money with state prosecutor Maksimovsky.
